Since we have absolutely no furniture, it's been fun to look for new stuff. We're also excited about getting all of our stuff back that's been in storage (in either my parent's basement or Jimmy's parent's basement). We haven't seen most of our stuff since last August or April (2008) when our parents came to visit.
We just got back from a three-day canoe trip with my friend Bryanna and her family. We went on the Current River in southern Missouri. I will post pictures soon!
Last weekend (July 11th) Jimmy's brother Stephen got married, so we spent a ton of time with family. It was fun to see everyone. I got to both take photographs and play the piano during the wedding ceremony, so it was a lot to do! But I was grateful to have an excuse to practice some of my hobbies that I don't do as much lately.
Jimmy has orientation at KCUMB on August 3rd and starts classes on August 10th. He's getting really anxious to get back to learning about medicine. We've been hooked on "Grey's Anatomy" as of late and even though we know it's not totally realistic, it's cool to see Jimmy get excited about some of the subjects on the show. He's always pausing it and explaining the details of the given disease to me. I'm so glad that he loves learning about medicine and I know he's going to do great in med school!
My parents still haven't sold their house here in Overland Park. They've had lots of showings and we're just praying that it sells soon so they can get settled in Colorado. For now it's good that we still have a place to stay until our new home is available though.
My sister Stephanie and her son Bailey are coming to spend some time with us this week and that should be fun!
