A TV Halloween

This year our Halloween costumes were inspired by hit TV shows. Well, at least mine was. Jimmy's was kind of unintentional.

Are any of you "Glee" fans? I absolutely love it! One of my favorite characters is the neurotic and quirky guidance counselor, Emma Pillsbury:

Here's my take on her. My curling iron wouldn't cooperate, but notice the gloves! For the first part of the evening I even got anxious when people tried to touch me or stand too close. You can't see the full costume, but it was definitely preppy and very Emma-like.

Here's Jimmy modeling his iron fist at Chipotle (we got 3 free burritos that day by going to different locations and never had to wait very long). His original costume plan didn't work out so he went with his fallback, a doctor. We joked that he can't be a doctor for Halloween much more because pretty soon it won't be a costume for him-- it will be real life.

I kept telling him he looked like Dr. Owen Hunt from "Grey's Anatomy." He had the navy scrubs, lab coat and even some red beard scruff going on.

We went to a party that night at our friends Shaun and Carly's house. They went all out with the decorations. I only got a few shots before my camera battery died, so here they are! Carly's brother Lea is the creepy doctor putting out the refreshments.

I heart glee! You make an adorable Emma. It looks like life is great in Kansas. There's snow on Timp and it finally snowed in Provo this weekend. yuk! But it's pretty. Have a great Thanksgiving!

So cute and so creative! I think you look just like her. And yes, we LOVE Glee! Our other new favorite shows are Flash Forward & Modern Family. Do you watch either of those? If not, I think you should!
