Karrie's Baby Shower

So my friend Cindy was hosting a baby shower for our our friend Karrie who is due in a few weeks. This is Cindy:


So Randii and I volunteered to help! This is Randii:


We got some inspiration for decorations from Pinterest. Here is a cute garland we made:


And we also put together these cute cupcake liner pom poms. You can see one in the corner of the food table (top left). You just get cute cupcake liners and glue them to a Styrofoam ball. If you're putting it on a candlestick like we did, just leave a small space open. Or you can hang them from the ceiling. Click here for a good tutorial. I used a pen to hold each liner on there while the glue was drying to avoid burning myself. But of course I ended up burning myself anyway.


I think my favorite food item (besides Cindy's delicious buffalo chicken dip), was the punch! I made cherry limeade a la Sonic. All you need is a 2-liter of Sprite, a can of frozen limeade concentrate and the juice from a 10-ounce jar of maraschino cherries. You can add some cherries or lime slices for a garnish. It is so yummy!

Of course we had to make a diaper cake. We followed this easy tutorial from Our Best Bites. Instead of rolling the diapers all individually, you overlap them and wrap them around your base.

And of course opened presents! Karrie got some really cute clothes.
