Halfway Cookies



I made these Halfway Cookies this weekend. My friend Tara was thoroughly impressed, so I thought I'd share it with you all. I found it on one of my favorite cooking blogs, the kitchn. Here is a link to the full recipe and instructions:

It's a layer cookie - the bottom part is just cookie dough, then you press in chocolate chips (or butterscotch or toffee, etc.) and top with this brown sugar meringue. My top layer didn't turn out quite as gooey as it was supposed to, but it was still tasty!

Cami - The brown sugar part is the meringue and it's on that same page with the instructions. It's step 5 of the recipe.

I just made these! My mergine didn't turn out though... it was more of a soupy mess... I think it's because a little bit of the egg yolk got in the egg whites. We will see how it turns out!
